NAIROBI Air Presto Premium , Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said on Friday he will lead a mass walk-out of African countries from the International Criminal Court (ICC) because of the "arrogance" of the court.

Speaking during Kenya's Independence Day celebrations in Nairobi, Museveni said he was not satisfied with the court and welcomed the move by the Hague-based court to drop charges against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"I will personally table a motion in the next African Union Summit for the continent to withdraw its membership of ICC," Museveni told thousands of Kenyans who had turned up at the celebrations.

He said while he initially supported the UN court, it had turned out to be an instrument "for harassing African leaders." He termed the court as "arrogant" for ignoring pan African body's plea on the Kenya cases.

Museveni accused the court of disregarding Africa's voice and setting its agenda to target leaders from the continent.

Museveni was among three Heads of State and delegations from five African countries that joined other invited dignitaries in commemorating Kenya's independence.

Others were Paul Kagame of Rwanda, John Mahama of Ghana, Vice Presidents of Comoros and South Sudan and representatives from Tanzania Air Presto Mens , Burundi and Ethiopia.

The Ugandan leader said he was happy that ICC had now dropped the case against Kenyatta, confirming his innocence in the first place.

"On the same vein, the court should also consider withdrawing the charges facing Deputy President William Ruto and his co- accused," Museveni said.

He noted that it is disrespectful to the Kenyan voter for the court to ignore the fact that the country's deputy president was popularly elected last year and should be accorded the opportunity to serve.

The Kenyan cases angered Museveni and many other African leaders who accuse the court of infringing on the sovereignty of nations.

BEIJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- China has moved to forge new competitive advantages in artificial intelligence (AI), with goals to allow homegrown businesses to take on global rivals by 2020.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Thursday released an action plan to substantially improve the emerging technology in the next three years, eying breakthroughs in basic research and wide application in multiple areas ranging from smart automobiles to robots and drones.
